Blyth Valley Woodturning and Woodcraft Club

Meet on 3rd Thursday of every month between 7:30 pm & 9:30 pm.

To share knowledge, experiences and to assist new members to improve skills etc.  And of course have a good natter.

Seaton Sluice Craft Club

Meet on a Tuesday between 1:30 pm & 3:30 pm.

The group do a mixture of crafts and everyone is welcome.  However, there is a maximum of 35 places and we currently have a waiting list.

Conversational French

This is a small group of people with a good knowledge of French, who wish to practise and improve their fluency.  General conversations about self/family/leisure/environment, etc are practised and extended.

New subjects of topical interest are explored.

This group meets on a Thursday morning 9:30 am – 11:00am.

Meets at Seaton Sluice Community Centre on 3rd Monday of each month from 7:00 – 9:00 pm.

This is a Women’s group offering educational talks, fun evenings, quizzes, conversation and friendship of tea and biscuits.

The group meets up the second Tuesday of the month – September – June

A programme of talks, mostly illustrated on aspects of local and North of England history.  A couple of summer outings are also arranged.

Embroiders Guild

We meet on the 1st Saturday of the month at Seaton Sluice Community Centre between 1:30 and 4:30 pm.

Everyone is welcome to attend. Cost is £2 a session.


Meets Wednesdays 9:45 – 11:15 am in Room 5 at the Community Centre and Wednesday evening at 7:15 – 8:45 pm in the Main Hall.

Very friendly group with mixed ability.  The classes are informal, suitable for ages 18-100 or older if you feel like it.

The Collywell Radio Players

This is an amateur group of actors who perform genuine old radio scripts, 3 times a year, in a ‘Radio Studio’ setting.  The case create all the character voices, and make all the sound effects, onstage as you watch, and where necessary include audience participation during the performance.  At the end of a performance everybody leaves with a smile on their face.

Anyone wishing to join, either onstage or in the background, would be most welcome.

We meet up as required to read scripts, rehearse, dress rehearsal etc about 6 weeks before performances.

Rocky Island Ruggers

We meet 1st and 3rd Tuesday in the month 7:00-9:00 pm.

A group of like minded people interested in hooky and proggy mat making.  Although not a teaching group we are happy to help any newcomers to the craft.

Seaton Sluice Tea Dance

We meet 2:00-4:00 pm on a Friday afternoon.  A charge of £2 is made for admission together with  Tea/Coffee/Juice plus biscuits or cake and a raffle ticket.

We are a friendly group who have members from a wide area.  Dancing is not compulsory – but chatting is.

 Parent and Toddlers

We meet on Monday afternoons 1:30 – 3:00 pm and Friday mornings 9:30 – 11:00 am during term time in the Main Hall.

We are a very friendly group of carers of children, ie parents, grandparents, other family relatives (male and female) who like the children to socialise.  The group caters for babies as well as toddlers.

Table Tennis

We meet on a Thursday evening 6:30 pm and will be meeting on a Monday night in the near future.

Seaton Sluice Community Centre Luncheon Club

Every Thursday (unless notified) sitting down to lunch for 12 noon.  For £4:00 you get a good substantial first course followed by dessert and a hot beverage.

We cater for around 30 people who have varying dietary needs.  Very friendly and chatty group who tend to look after each other.

This is followed by the Film Club on the 2nd Thursday of the month.
