The Centre

Seaton Sluice Community Centre is a community-owned building that has been located in a former primary school since 1971. The centre is run entirely by volunteers who achieved the King's Award for Voluntary Service in 2023.

The association which manages the centre is a charity and a limited company and was formed on 22 March 1963.

The volunteer management committee meets six times a year and these meetings are open to residents to attend.

The centre is accessible to all and is dog friendly. It hosts the village library, which is open 5 hours a week, and a Post Office also opens 5 hours a week.

The eight differing-sized rooms in the centre are rented out to over forty clubs that are all are run by volunteers.

Our varied clubs include Woodturning, Art, Craft, Camera Club, Rug Making, or Activity based: Table Tennis, Yoga, Pilates, Armchair Exercise and Social: Monday Café, Luncheon Club, Parent and Toddlers, Community Film Club and Tea Dance.

The community centre has plenty of off-road car parking.

Free WiFi is available throughout the bigger building.
